For over eight decades under a number of different names Charlotte Concerts has bought world-renowned classical musicians to the Queen City. Virtuoso Ray Chen played the second program of their 2012-2013 season in the Halton Theater at Central Piedmont Community College with sonatas by Mozart and Brahms as well as two crowd-pleasers by Saint-Saëns. Then the student musicians of the Davidson College Choral Arts Society, Singers and Pro Arte Orchestra amaze in a performance of Duruflé’s immortal Requiem.
